I suck at chess. While I've enjoyed playing it a few times wtih other total newbs I frankly lack the patience to really learn how to play. I prefer more instant gratification. I'm also kind of afraid that I'll discover I'm a total moron in the process of trying to learn.
That said, I do have a pretty cool, if not necessarily high-end, hand-carved chess set from Bali, the kind of thing you see all over the place as tourist pap, but mine's relatively high-quality and was pretty cheap, since I was there before the place really REALLY blew up.
