will do. $100+ for trees is too rich for my blood, so i'm using Nordstrom trees for the foreseeable future...

I got the 11s, but also had a SA order in the 10 1/2 since I was not sure which would fit. The 11D seem fine, but there is a little bit of slip in the heel, so I think I will wait and see how the 10 1/2 work. The 11D are fine in every other way except the heel, so I am thinking I may just have a narrow heel for this last..

as of Wednesday when I was there, Niemans at Northpark in Dallas has a few of the Tamars left in various sizes in both Museum Red and Black.

You can get aromatic cedar shoe trees at the Container Store for $15.

Just a warning about the shoe trees on the Tamar. My other Lobbs on the 8000 last were prestige so they came with the trees. I tried the Woodlore split toe, Epic and another model tree from cedarville and they all appeared to warp the shape of my Tamars. I have classic line Lobbs on the 7000 last and non-Lobb trees worked just fine on them. These same trees were not quite right on the Tamar and started to produce a slight bulge on the outer side with both XL and L sized trees (I wear 11E UK in these). So I just switched out a pair of trees from one of my 7000 last Lobbs (the Westminster) into the Tamars and put the regular split toe Woodlore in the 7000 lasted Westminsters. The Lobb shoe trees only come in one shape but it seems to fit well for the 7000, 8000, and 1105 last. By the way, like Forex said there are still a few nice items at Ralph Lauren available especially the Purple label and Black label suits and I think the JL Becketts (very nice prestige line 8000 last balmoral) were a part of the Neiman's sale. None left in ATL but I am sure a salesperson could look it up for you.

I was personally waiting for the Becketts to go on sale, but the ATL NM was out of them a month or so before the sale even started.

hmm....thanks for the warning. i do have a pair of John Lobb trees that currently live inside a pair of 2007's....perhaps i should use those in the Tamars and use the Nordstrom trees (from searching their forums they appear to be the same/similar cedar trees as the Woodlores...?) in the 2007's....
