Leg Lamp

I really want one of these. Mostly because of the movie but I'm very amused by it. I just don't know if others will get the reference...or find it amusing. I am worried this might illicit the same reaction the giant photo of the naked prostitute did from a girl I liked a while back. Plus how can I work it with everything else I own. FTFY -- yes, I am a pedant.

Neighbours across the street have one of those lamps, but for reasons I do not know they do not put it up every year. I also believe their lampshade is red.

Honestly, if I was going to have a leg lamp, I'd be sure it was a better leg.

I saw this lamp hanging on the side of a building, 20ft tall and re-created out of Xmas lights. It made me smile, the only Xmas decoration I've seen all year that I've liked.

I bought one of these a few years ago, because "A Christmas Story" is one of my favorite movies. Most people have seen the movie or at least know of the whole Major Award scene from it so does make a good conversation piece. I have it up in the man's room all year. Everyone who's come in and seen it either says "Fra-Gi-Le, that must be Italian" or "Its a major award, I won it!"

The guy who makes them and sells them on that site posted actually bought the house they used for the movie and renovated it to look like it does in the movie. For like 5 bucks or something you can take a tour of it and buy swag. Its in Clevland
