Ralph Lauren lines, and 'who makes what' - a definitive guide - Page 29

I see RLPL are selling RTW suits/SC again. Thought they phased that out a couple of years ago, for MTM only.

But...almost 5k$ for a Sportcoat?

I just ordered this:

http://www.ralphlauren.com/product/index.jsp?productId=4342728&cp=1760781.35256186&view=99&ab=ln_men_cs_sportcoats&parentPage=family

Which with the additional 25% off comes to $525... seems like a good deal to me.

This is the made in Italy PRL... is that still made by Corneliani? If not who is the manufacturer now?

I believe it still made by Corneliani. That's a really nice looking jacket. Nice find.

Anybody know who might have made something with this label?

So... The made in USA PRL stuff has a structured shoulder, though being full canvassed?

Like, for example, this?

I have seen new season POLO jacket yesterday in France (Le Bon marché).
They have the new label (blue and yellow) and they are no longer made in Italy but in Slovakia. Still, they look very good...Sizing is slim fit.
The website says Italy, the label inside says Slovakia...
Don't know if it is only for European market...

I think the ones you're talking about say "European Made" on the website. They're made by Corneliani.

For example, for this item :

http://www.ralphlauren.com/product/index.jsp?productId=41850376&cp=1766205.1895470&view=99&ab=ln_men_cs_sportcoats&parentPage=family

I have seen it yesterday (same cut, same fabrics, same all) and it was made in Slovakia. Or maybe they have 2 factories for the same item ?

Edit: I'm as confused as you are.

Anyone know what model 7822 refers to with Corneliani made PRL?

Yep. Made in Slovakia though.

It's the same tag you find in CC Corneliani or Trend Corneliani pieces.

Good info, thanks sir! Still half canvassed I assume?

This is a tag I've never seen before. Help, anyone?

I can only offer comparative remarks, since I have a PRL with a similar looking label (and several others with the more recognizable Corneliani tags inside the pocket). It looks similar in format to a blue PRL blazer I have (but mine is in English, not German, and where that is light blue, mine is more grey). It otherwise looks the same, including that it looks like the label is intended to be cut (so as to separate the portion with the little boxes at the bottom). Maybe you weren't asking about this, but the "Polo by Ralph Lauren" tag on mine looks different - it doesn't say Made in Italy on the edge and instead has white (in one case blue) stitching like in a /\/\/\/\ pattern around the border. Aside from the inside pocket tag, all other tags on my jacket are the same as those with the more recognizable Corneliani inside-the-pocket tags, so I assume the one of mine with tags like you showed is just an older model, still made by Corneliani, but I honestly don't know. This particular jacket of mine has a lower gorge and wider lapels than my other PRL jackets with more recent Corneliani tags, but otherwise similar (soft shoulder, 3r2).
