my opinion of these cameras is that in low-light, you are better off shooting film. in bright light, the smaller digital point and shoots should work just well.

the old a-series canons gave manual control and had the same size sensor as the g10.

To be honest, I could probably care less, it's just Tokyo Slim (the internet is your life).

Back to the OP, the Nikon P5100 seems to be viable option as well, although I'm really starting to like the Olympus SP-570UZ.
