She'll soon develop an obsession with obesity & sweatpants

I've been waiting for it to happen but it just doesn't. She's an extremely good tennis player and goes to the gym a couple times a week in addition to the tennis she plays...once she stops the exercising and the PJ continues she will likely balloon haha.

Papa John's pizza is just a delivery method for their garlic butter sauce. I only eat it once or twice a year, but I like it better than other chains.

Hopefully she only balloons in the butt.

Domino's has fallen off the cliff in terms of taste and quality. They used to have a coupon in my area for a $4.99 medium pep. The first time I had it delivered, I was appalled at the quality. It tasted like cardboard. Only it looked like a pizza.

I was so cheap, I decided to opt for the same "special" a second time. This time, I picked it up, naively believing the time to delivery was the cause of the unappetizing flavor. Wrong again!

Pizza Hut pizza is extremely greasy, and therefore quite tasty. At least the pan crust pizza. Expect to become queasy or to vomit if you have more than two slices, however.

If you want a decent pizza you don't have to make yourself, check out some of Trader Joe's frozen pies. Pretty tasty, and very inexpensive (around $5 and no sales tax!).

I've tried Papa John's a couple of times. It seems like it would be so easy to make it taste good, but it doesn't. It tastes terrible. I would prefer Dominos and Pizza Hut. And I really dislike Dominos.

As far as taste, the higher-end grocery frozen aisle pizzas taste better. Probably cheaper too.

But, if you are going to the trouble of cooking it anyway, might as well buy a ready-made crust, a jar of sauce, a tub of mozza, and just slap it together at home.

anybody like Z Pizza?

it is probably the best 'light' chain pizza around. i find the people working there always nice and relaxed, not rushed like at the other places. sanitary to from what i see.

and they always have these incentives like buy a certain amount and you qualify for a free pizza or tub of ice cream next time around.

Yes, they're about the best chain pie I've had... a little skimpy, though. A "slice" is equal to maybe a half of anybody else's slice by weight or by volume.

You'll never hear me say anything bad about 2 Amys -- it's the best pizza I've ever had that didn't come out of my own mother's kitchen. But ML is to me, as you say, acceptable... at least when I don't feel like going more than 5 minutes for a pie.

I can't stand Papa John's, it's just so bleh. Incidentally, my younger brother is in love with PJs. Domino's is marginally better (if only because it actually delivers in my neighborhood). I used to a be a fan of the one of local pizza places, but the owner now irritates me.

This is so true.

I've stopped ordering from everywhere else when I came across Umbria. I guess it's a Minnesota only thing, though.... http://blaine.umbriapizza.com/zgrid/proc/site/sitep.jsp

Good call Tarmac. Definitely cheaper and usually tastes much better than those chain delivery joints.
