No turkey for me

Due to several factors, we will not be roasting a turkey for Christmas dinner. It will feel a little strange actually, as my family has done so for the past 20 years.

Anyhow, in its place, we'll be having:

Charcuterie platter
Onion soup
Sausage puff pastry tarts
Lamb loin chops
Lyonnaise potatoes with bacon
Root vegetable pave (a nice Charlie Trotter recipe)
Creamed spinach
Coffee crème brulee

I there's a quarter foie gras in the freezer that needs to be consumed as well. So maybe not traditional, but it will be good.

So taking off on the recent thanksgiving menu thread, for those not making (or never make) a bird, what will you be serving?

I believe that tomorrow night, I am going over to a friend's place and we will be making gnocchi.

Once a year for turkey is good enough for me, so after Thanksgiving I try to switch it up for christamas, roast leg of Lamb this year.
