Nah. I was a huge Rush fan as a young'un, seen them many times, including at the Mother Ship (Maple Leaf Gardens), but there's much more to the Canadian scene that Rush. In the last 10 years, IMO, the Canadian indie scene has had some pretty heavy influence and developed a substantial following outside Canada's borders. Then there are still bands that make it big in Canada and elsewhere, that are still relatively unheard of in the States, like The Tragically Hip and The Tea Party.
When I heard what Gord Dowie made, it was quite shocking, considering the brilliance of the band. Then, I heard what the Nickleback drummer got just for a signing bonus. Gotta sell in the $tates.
