That sounds like mine. My longterm GF, who I actually really really liked, broke up because I wouldn't marry her (it's actually the main reason I left new york). We just didn't have the same kind of plans. It's one of those things that had to be done.
Take some time to just do stupid shit. If you try and be mature, dealing with it head on, you'll just end up completely wasted, 100 miles from where you live in nothing but one sock, lying next to a naked women's tennis player from university of georgia, and not know how you got there.
Sorry that happened man, but I hope it was for the best.
