Looking for a stereo

Looking for a stereo. Only requirements are decent sound quality, compact (to fit on a side table) and a huge plus if it'd play mp3 CDs.

Recommend away! Please...

On the same note... I just realized that I do have mp3 player which I never use!

To revise: recommendations for decent speakers under $200, pls. They have to take the regular 3.5mm input.

The only thing to look at...AudioEngine 2 speakers right at $200. These are powered speakers so you just plug in your iPod and you are good to go.

Get Monsoon flat-panel computer speakers on eBay for less than $100. They sound good.

Under $200.. Just buy a "What HiFi?" magazine and they'll have a review section in the back.
