Have any of you guys seen these shoes at Urban Outfitters yet? Here is the official website. I did some searching and this diffusion line seems to have just launched this month.http://www.genericsurplus.com/

Here are some pics from urban outfitters of the two models I like found at http://search.urbanoutfitters.com/?q=generic+surplus Note they do not have all the styles at Urban Outfitters just yet.

Generic Man are sold on revolve, but this is a new cheaper label they made. I think this cheaper label they made looks just as good though honestly besides the lack of stitching around the sole like on regular generic man and common projects.

Yeah, the aesthetic is definitely similar, which makes me even more curious about what sacrifices they made to achieve the lower price point. Maybe the names of the workers got longer and more Spanish-sounding?

Maybe the materials suck

jesus christ, generic man is, at best, on par with a 3rd line diffusion brand to begin with. what's the world coming to? what's next, corpus diffusion, oh wait a second...

i don't really see the appeal. most of generic man's stuff is boring as it is. i did like those black caviar ones though.

uh my generic mans are pretty much as nice as my cps

I've seen those military hitops in person at UO. They're a lot shittier in person than in the pictures.

I wanted a pair of the wingtips or the black hitops, but ^ that is very disappointing. If anyone is curious enough to pick up a pair please report back. I mean they're 70 bucks, so you can't expect too much. Just chuck taylor quality I guess.

Great more generic garbage.

I don't like these brands, I thought Uniqlo and AA already took care of the simpletons of this world. Can't compare these with CP, as CP at least have some nice details such as the barcode on the side. Plus CP have some very aesthetically pleasing shapes that just don't look the same as other sneakers. There's also the quality factor, a pair of CP training boots will eat any of these for breakfast. Though I understand they aren't in the same market, which again strengthens the "can't compare" argument. What I don't like though, is that they are simply too ordinary, like I said before, at least CP have something going for them. These don't seem to differ at all from your typical walmart sneaker
