haha. no. i was a student of marshall arisman, who was heavily influenced by bacon and Arisman was a huge influence on dave McKean. goya (post sanity) and bacon have always been my favorites. will post when i transfer my chromes. most are too big to scan. it's mostly the movement of my paintings that feels similar IMO.

i worked for a bit at vertigo so copying mckean would have been expected.

I do like Goya as well, even some of his grotesque royal portraits. Spanish portraiture is quite fascinating in how grotesque all of them are, unlike say, French or British pictures. It must be the Catholicism.
