Got this from the Gilt sale and only used it for one day. It's very very nice but I don't carry a laptop with me, not do I need to carry legal size documents or folders, so it's just a little too large for my use.

Picture from the Gilt sale and my measurements : 18" x 12 3/4" x 2 3/4". Comes with the leather strap and dust bag. I paid $278 for it and I'm looking for the same (including shipping in the US) -- reduced it to $250 (sold)

What is the lining? What kind of leather? I notice a grain, is it a cleanable style? I ask because some pebble grain items react badly to leather conditioners.

Lining is a tan canvas with black leather accents. Inside, there's a cell phone pocket, three open top pockets for cards and such, one large zipped pocket and a smaller one. As seen on the picture, there's also a large outside zipped pocket.

Leather is pebbled grain indeed. I don't know the answer to the cleanability question but I don't see why it wouldn't be cleanable. Leather is very nice IMO, FWIW.

That's a very nice bag... any idea of what the retail value would be?

Bought the same bag in chocolate. Gilt had it listed as $695 retail.

I may - I'll know next week. I just bought a new 18 inch laptop (the macbook didn't work out) and don't think it'll fit in any of my other cases.

I'll check it out, and if nothing fits- I'll PM you.

its a new Sony Vaio 18.4. I'm using it less for travel and more for a desktop replacement (second home office). but ya - its a little big, but has a RW Bluray drive with a full 1920x1080 HD display. All this to make nicer WAYWT posts
