Tito's Vodka - Page 2

LOL! Well, I really would need a GCMS -- a gas chromatograph coupled to a mass spectrometer to make a positive id of the compounds. But you do give me an idea -- I wonder if a comparative study of, say Chopin vs. Everclear via FTIR would show anything of signifcance. As both the alcohols and the aromatics are organic, it should show up....maybe when things quiet down over the holidays. I'm excited about this now.... ~ H

A good friend is a major vodka snob. Grey Goose and Tito's are his only vodkas, and he was surprised to like Tito's as much as he did.

I saw a program on Tito's. I wanna try it, but I think next on my list is Firefly Sweet Tea Vodka.

Vodka really doesn't bother me, I feel kinda drawn to it. I like it neat.

FireFly + Minute Maid lemonade = GREAT summer drink.

Very light, sweet, and very easy to get drunk on without having too many.

^^^
Duly noted, I really need to find some firefly.

firefly is really really tasty...although I would disagree that coupled with lemonade it's light...there's a ton of sugar in it. I usually prefer it with water and lemon....or sugar free lemonade.

I wish I had thought of this when I still worked in an orgo lab, I don't think my ICP-MS and ion microprobe would do the trick.

I have a bottle sitting out now. Its quite good, small batch corn vodka distilled in the US for uner $30 a bottle, closer to $20. I buy it when available. If anyone in NYC wants to try it I can have plenty of time these days.

Yah, that would probably be a little....much for an ethanol sample. Sadly, the spectrometer can't differentiate between my reference absolute ethanol, vodka, or Lagavulin scotch -- can't even see the phenols well enough to call them out. The chemist can see some differences, but not enough to make determinations. I'm pretty disappointed, and we don't have a GCMS.... ~H
