At my local rock climbing gym there are a few regulars who like to wear these when climbing. By regulars I mean regulars and not advanced climbers by any stretch. But they say they are comfortable and still give them decent feel on the rock.

Just received my pair. I think I went one size too large but I'm not going to exchange them. My longest toe (2nd) reaches the tip while the others are a couple centimeters off. I guess I just ease in to them (a couple hours each day)?

Out of curiosity, how different do these feel from aquasox? I remember strolling through the Mexico City Airport in a pair of aquasox and thought it rather liberating for my feet.

doesn't proper long distance running entail heel striking refer to OP? why is that a complaint with other shoes when this is controlled by your own form?

So if I have flat feet, will running in these help to correct the problem, or just make it worse?

Ostensibly shoes like these will help, or prevent it all together, in instances where its caused by postural issues. Since it is supposed to mimic being barefoot, which is the most healthy situation for feet, it will ostensibly let your feet work themselves out. Running absolutely barefoot is the greatest thing ever, and the only form of jogging that doesn't cause me severe physical pain. Sadly, doing that anywhere buy specially cared for spaces will mean running on heroin needles and urine.

I dunno if I completely buy into the "barefoot shoe" idea. When I'm wearing shoes I tend to hyperpronate from a very high arch to no arch at all, but the minute I go barefoot my feet hold themselves up properly. However, in socks I find myself over pronating slightly. I think a lot of it has to do with the nerves in the foot feeling ground and telling the brain "Hey! We're standing! Heighten the arches!! Balance the big toes!!", which doesn't happen in shoes in many cases.
