Wasn't Liza on last night?

Yes, she was. She held a tomato and slapped Kristen Wig's ass. She was awful.

The last time time I tuned in regularly was to watch Norm Macdonald's weekend update, particularly for the run-up of OJ jokes that apparently got him fired.

Taylor Swift.
I'm not sure she's legal yet.

The Save Broadway and Frost/Other People skits were really great.

Calling that "singing" is generous. Yes, she is hot. I believe she is 17.

WTF was that air traffic control skit? That was some of the most painful 10 minutes in TV history.

+1 They've got this kind of smug self-consciousness that seems to be all the rage (Jon Stewart, etc). Anyway, it really doesn't do it for me. There was an obvious decline as the greats left, but I think the likes of Jimmy Fallon and Chris Kattan were the ones to put the nails in the coffin of the 90s heyday.

Favorite Weekend Updaters? Norm, Kevin Nealon, Chevy for me.

I don't think its as funny as it was when I was in high school, but it could be that I would think what is on now is funny if I were still in HS.

as a whole the show is really inconsistent. but there's definitely some potential if they get the writing down. The Lonely Island guys do pretty funny stuff on a regular basis, Will Forte needs more sketches, Kristen Wiig has come into her own a bit more over the last few seasons, and the show needs more impressions from Bill Hader, but in different contexts. The Vincent Price specials aren't funny enough to do them regularly. Kenan "Knucklepuck" Thompson's only funny character this year was the "fix it" guy on the political weekend updates. I am liking the featured players this season though. Elliot, Moynihan, & Watkins are taking a bit but I can see them getting more sketches in future shows. Moynihan's snagglepuss was pretty funny.

Yeah that was enjoyable. The Digital short was a bit disappointing...they're usually very solid. The air traffic control was just...odd, I think I started to nod off a bit during that one. Taylor Swift was really good looking but just cannot sing worth a damn...too bad.
