Brown belt/shoes w/ black suit

Yes, so my question is - is it possible to pull off dark brown shoes with a black suit? I am unsure of what kind of shirt would help this combination. Of course if I was informed of a good way to execute it, I would be wearing a brown belt as well. Personally, I can't think of anything that would do it, but before I gave up on the idea, I thought I'd check here Thanks in advance.

How about a beige or tan shirt? With a brown and black tie?

My girlfriend recommended this... I've considered it. I've never thought that tan shirts go very well with my skin complexion nor my body type (nearly transparent, and pretty slim). I'll have to try some on and decide if they look alright on me.

Personally I think chesnut coloured brown shoes would work better than say, a dull brown.

I've seen tan shoes worn with black trousers, and I think that it's a look you can pull off if you do it confidently enough. Black with dark brown I'd shy away from. It would probably look like you got dressed in the dark and made a mistake.

I sometimes wear a pair of dark brown Prada boots (roughly based on riding and biker boots) with a slim black crepe suit - and I think it looks pretty good. I really don't like my entire outfit to coordinate unless I'm going black or white tie. It's definitely a club look though - not really appropriate for the office.

Go with more of a tan colored belt and shoes.
