How to describe haircut? (terminology etc.)

So I kind of have an idea of the haircut I want but I have no idea how to actually verbalize it so the hairdresser would know what to do.

It's not complicated or anything, just a short men's haircut, but I can't find any pictures that are what I want and I'm not sure what to say. Also I have a lot of anxiety in social situations so it would be best if I just know what to say beforehand and don't have to explain a lot.

I don't know what could help me... Is there a website where you can find descriptions of haircuts or something? Only thing else I could do would be find a few different pics with the features I want and ask someone to describe them all / what a haircut would look like with all those features, or pull my hair back to the length I want it and take various pictures and ask someone to describe it lol

Could you be more descriptive with what you want? It's hard to help if we have no idea what you're contemplating.

Is there any well known celebrity with a similar haircut?

Your best bet is to find a picture of the haircut you want and take it in. Look at magazines, catalogs, etc...
