What's the serving size on your fish oil pills? Is it 4 and you go for 3 servings a day? That sounds like so much fish oil... do you shit roofing tar? Are you going for a particular IU of omega-3s?
Anyone try chondroitin as a supplement for joint health? I just started taking a low dose this week.
I am doing Stronglifts 5x5 and The Bear 5x5 on in between days, giving myself two full days of healing at the end of the week. Just finished week 6. Week 5 and week 6 have left me pretty busted up after my last day.
I am less interested in simple high protein / high cal diets and much, much more interested in what weightlifting approved diets are managing to maximize nutrients. I'm doing a few things, wanna do more:
- Dried cranberries with my carbs for anti-oxidants.
- Sesame seeds for Vitamin E in place of a portion of the usual serving of almonds / walnuts.
- Massive amounts of spinach / mixed greens inside my whole wheat tortilla wraps (egg salad w/ olive oil mayo vs egg beater omelet vs tuna fish vs chicken breast).
I'm probably going to give up and get some whey soon. Something small from Target, probably, see how that goes. Maybe learn how to cook a decent calf liver.
