Bought my son his first real gun today. For my money the act of a father teaching his son to hunt is one of the oldest, and probably the most manly, activity in the history of the world. Seriously.

(I know that the act of buying the gun really isn't manly, but dove season doesn't start until Sep 1. The gun in question is a single shot breakover .410)

Diagnosed and replaced a bad PCV valve on my wife's car. Is there any other car repair that offers as much improvement relative to time/cash investment as a PCV valve?

Now I'm enjoying a lunch of sandwiches made with leftover smoked pork loin and from-scratch biscuits from the big supper I made Friday night.

Mass airflow sensor
I don't know about that. I paid $6.99 for the PCV valve, and the cheapest mass airflow sensor the same retailer has for my wife's car is $129.99 (the others are just a shade under $170). The only way a mass airflow sensor could reach the same level of improvement for time and cost would be if it could do something like fix a seized engine after a five-minute install.

Took kids fishing (only caught bluegills the size of your hand), smoked a pork shoulder for 6 hrs, made cider vinegar BBQ sauce, and mowed lawn.

EDIT: ... and now drinking Lagavulin Quarter Cask ...
