Oh, the pain, the unbearable pain!

http://www.reuters.com/printer....7869060 It may seem as though all we American bespoke addicts have to do is order in the US and all will be well, but remember: prices start higher over here; there are no truly outstanding shoemakers; and all good cloth is made in Europe. Will it never end?

Wanna swap pain with me for a while? Remind me to start getting billed in DOLLARS.

Dammit. Knew I should have sold my dollars to Kaga when he asked. That's it folks. Is it over for the dollar? Will it be the day of the Venezuelan bolivar? Kudos to anyone who gets my reference.

Thanks for reminding me. I am dreading my limp dollar come October when I will be in France for a wedding. I will do my best to at least get as many free drinks into my belly as possibly. FWIW, that can be alot.

Didn't Linux Pro state that the dollar WILL become stronger by years end, and for people to buy dollars now while it is cheap? I can't find the thread, but it was in the Clothing section....

Dollar just experienced major drop-off this last week. However, sentiment appears to be changing, dollar should experience some retracement early in the upcoming week (approx sun - tue). Long-term outlook continues to be bearish. EUR/USD may hit 1.3700-1.3800 by early April. It is hard to say what will happen by year's end. Literally anything could happen in that time. What I can say is that nobody thinks the dollar will see any serious recovery in the next few months at least. EUR/USD is trading at 1.3410 at this second. GBP/USD is at 1.9191.

Don't do it.. Keep those euros. They're actually worth something right now. Buying dollars is like buying a gallon of milk with a 1-day expiration. If you can use it all quickly, than it's not so bad. Otherwise, it's just going to rot and get flushed down a toilet.

Well, so we can still take a holiday in the USA ... which location do you suggest, maybe Florida, California or ... ? ... supporting USA economy ...

Well... the CIA tried to support a coup at Venezuela and failed a couple of years ago. I think that due to lack of training and funding, the CIA is not as effective as we like to believe. As for the dollar strenght: only one solution... we must produce (sell) more than our friends across the two ponds (EU and China). Otherwise, kiss goodbye to the US economic power that it once had.

That hypothesis is debatable, at best.

Key West, laid back Palm Springs, true resort style and there's always NYC...
