Seriously though, when someone spends $400/ft of speaker and interconnect cable, you'd think they could afford decent shoes or clothes that fit and aren't horrendous. Not usually the case, unfortunately.

I have wondered the same thing about watch fanatics. Many tourbillon wearing watch afficionados wear the most mindnumbing clothing.
As my forumname suggests I am into pilot watches and 'functional' aesthetic watches in general.
I like the contrast they create with fine clothing. I never got the 'look at me I don't care for clothing but I wear a Patek' thing. They feel the same about us I guess, when someone wears a casmere sportscoat, a tailor made shirt and fine trousers yet sports a timex with a ribbon strap.
