I'd say that there's some weird kind of beautiful dissonance in eating at TFL and a drive thru in the same day.

I usually eat after I go to a great restaurant. I stay up very late so my friends and I are always hungry after we've been out till 3-4am... I've very often followed up an incredible dinner with some cheap street food or maybe a sandwich at home. When I had a steady girlfriend I always ate something after some fun... which makes me ravenously hungry so yea... that's never my last meal of the day.

I definitely ate within hours of eating at Per Se... the portions struck me as particularly small.

My sample of 2 Berkeley girls leads me to think they are "different":

1st: The backwards romance - Met her at the silly "exotic erotic" thing (when it was held in a location in downtown SF). Went to her place and did it all, left the next morning. 2nd "date" - we had dinner and ended up making out in the car. 3rd date - didn't even get a kiss

2nd B-girl: Used to take her clothes off (all of them sometimes) while walking on the roads up in the hills.

So "there's that"... as they say.

Most of the people are granola weirdo hippies though there are rabid libertarian types mixed in. The chicks, who aren't gay, are probably very liberal, but you never know. There always manages to be a UCB chick that ends up in a college issue magazine somehow. PS There are a surprising number of churches in Berkeley.
