My understanding has been that bias striped referred to a shirt cut on the bias such that the usual vertical stripes ran diagonal. In the newspaper today there was a paragraph promoting the "bias stripe shirt" as the hot new thing in men's fashion (generally a good indication that the style is on its last legs) and accompanied it with a photo of a typical multi-striped shirt in the vertical orientation. Is my understanding of bias striped incorrect? Anyone of the opinion that the diagonal stripe and/or multi striped shirts are here to stay?
