I'm sure the staff was thinking, "Who is that strange-looking man, and why has his nose been pressed against the window for the past half hour?"
They were probably thinking: "That guy has spent the entire night out here, does he expect us to serve breakfast?" That's what the late Rudolph Bing used to do for the ticket hunters who had slept outside the box office at NY's Metropolitan Opera. Every year there were the publicity shots with him serving coffee from a big pot.

Anyone have a website were I can view the various models/lasts/colors? A google search yielded nothing.

I was actually the first one in the door at 10 AM this morning. There are some good shoes -- Bordor in both black and chestnut (I can't remember what Lobb calls that color -- something much more exotic, I'm sure) at 45% off but in limited sizes; the 2003 model at 30% off; a buckled boot in black, dark brown, and tan pebble-grain at 45% off; and a five or six eyelet ankle boot in that gold museum calf that's simply stunning at 30% off. Not huge breadth, but there was some good stuff. I mostly ogled the bespoke samples after I found out that they didn't have the chestnut Bordor in my size.
Is the buckled boot the Varese model? If so, I think it looks especially good in a brown pebble grain. Any chance you'd be going back for another look-see?  (I'm a 7E )

I honestly can't remember about the model of the boot. I would go back to check it out for you, but that would require another flight to NYC. Always happy to help out, but there are limits.

Just got back from the John Lobb sale on Madison. Nothing left in size US13 except some hideous monkstraps. Did try on the John Lobb 2004, veeerrryyyy nice.
