It runs for two weeks starting on Monday March 7th. Probably 40-60 % off on selected models. I won't be able to get out there till next weekend so if any goes earlier, I'd appreciate a report of what they have. Thanks.

Where is the store? I will be able to go tomorrow. Edit: is it lobb paris? lobb london?

Sorry should have been clearer. I meant John Lobb Paris in NYC on Madison 61st/62nd.

I just called to inquire about the 7.5-8s. The 8695 Last is beign discontinued (shame, I better stock up now), and prices are discounted between 30-45%. The best deal they had was a Philip from the Classics line marked down 45% ($650ish) in a 6.5E. Alas, nothing within my budget or size.

I wonder if the 8695 last is being discontinued in general or just that the NY store will no longer be carrying it.

I couldn't make it today and I also have no desire to spend $650ish on a pair of shoes at the moment

I stopped by earlier today. Not that much of interest on sale(to me at least). I would not go out of my way to go. By the way, Lobb is not discontinuing the 8695 last. They are discontinuing the last in certain models. For example, they are now making the Phillip on the 7000 vs. the 8695.

Thanks for the reports guys. It doesn't look like I'm missing out by waiting a few days.

I was actually the first one in the door at 10 AM this morning. There are some good shoes -- Bordor in both black and chestnut (I can't remember what Lobb calls that color -- something much more exotic, I'm sure) at 45% off but in limited sizes; the 2003 model at 30% off; a buckled boot in black, dark brown, and tan pebble-grain at 45% off; and a five or six eyelet ankle boot in that gold museum calf that's simply stunning at 30% off. Not huge breadth, but there was some good stuff. I mostly ogled the bespoke samples after I found out that they didn't have the chestnut Bordor in my size.

Thanks for the specifics, jcusey. That ankle boot sounds intriguing, but it'll have to wait.

I'm sure the staff was thinking, "Who is that strange-looking man, and why has his nose been pressed against the window for the past half hour?"
