Charles tyrwhitt shirts?

Stu: I have ordered several shirts from CT, and have enjoyed them greatly.  The shirts come with brass collar stays, and the  shirts are and a pleasure to wear.  I should say that I have never owned a Thomas Pink shirt, however. CT does have sales and special offers that bring the products well within a reasonable price range.  (If memory serves correctly, there was a "Buy one shirt, get 50% off on the second" offer in Esquire magazine last fall.) Also, bear in mind that if you are living outside of the EU, VAT should not be assessed on your purchase. Bic

how doe their shirts fit in the chest and waist? I only have the catalogue and, being quite thin, i usually find it hard to get well-fitting shirts.

Alex: I too have a hard time finding shirts that fit well. However, it is not becaus I am thin, but because I am chunky. CT shirts don't strike me as being fitted or having a great drop between chest and waist, so I wouldn't recommend them over any other brand for someone who is very thin. (Come to think of it, one of the things I like about them is that the shoulder and arm are more roomy than some other makers I have tried.) I wish I could give a more concrete answer. At the risk of coming off like a CT shill--I have exchanged e-mail with the people there several times. I have found them extremely helpful. Perhaps they could give you the 'skinny' on their fitting, and/or possible alterations they could do at your request. I live in Japan, so sending things back is a hassle, but they have also happily taken my returns. Bic
