Longest you've gone without alcohol - Page 5

I have been dry for a full 4 days now. That represents the longest stretch in around 15 years though I rarely get drunk.

I once came down with a severe case of glandular fever (to the extent my liver function could have been impaired) and had to keep away from the sauce for several months. Not being able to drink then was probably good for me - it gave me something else to resent other than the person who gave me glandular fever.

Since then, I may have occasionally forgotten to drink alcohol for a day or so; but I'm usually pretty good at remembering this sort of thing.
