Denim 101 for Men's Clothing - Page 80

That's very nicely done, Corbera- but I think the rules are that you have to say what kind of jeans they are. The whole point of this thread is for the MC folks to figure out enough about jeans to avoid the dreaded Dad jeans.

Jean pants are Five Easy Pieces (5EP) Style Forum collaboration. Jacket is Engineered Garments. Muffler is Begg. Boots are USA Redwings.

I wish I had a personal photographer like vox corbera.

In the mean time, this is all I can produce...

Don't see that many Buzz Rickson pics around here so I wanted to add one point of reference at least. Jeans are APC NS

Getting cold here

Infamous? Yes, navy Buzz Rickson peacoat.

I know some people here and on SW&D like to wear their peacoats fitted and cropped - this is quite the opposite and that's what I love about it - a bit roomy and voluminous. Collar and lapels are gigantic and provide a lot of warmth and wind protection.

Has anyone tried this season's Rag & Bone? How does the quality/fit compare to previous seasons? Considering ordering a pair, but want to know their current status first.

Need sizing help...I measure 34 in. where I want to wear my jeans (my hips). I was about to order a pair of Petit 31s because I want a slim through the leg and slim-but-with-some-room through the thigh (but not skin tight). My thighs are a bit big due to soccer and genetics. I thought that would be the right size until I tried on my friend's NS 29s. He stretched them for half a day without the top button, after which I was able to button the top one with some room. The thighs were a good size but the leg definitely had way too much room. If you can button the top button right away is it going to stretch to be too big? According to my experience with NS 29, should I go with PS 30?

Ask streetwear. MC tends to wear 'em how they're designed to be worn.

Older pic of my APC new standards. Well worn and faded now (also hemmed), they were relatively new at this point.

^ your look is unmistakably MC wears denim.

Nice, glad I could live up to the low standards set here, haha. My problem is I have too much damn raw denim and I end up working on only one pair for a long ass time regardless of whatever else I'm wearing, doesn't always work as can be seen.

Did you ever find that new pair you were looking for?

I had the impression that APCs were designed to be a bit tight at first, so that they fit after stretching out? I could be wrong.

I think that's a great fit. What size are they and what's your waist, might I ask? :x

No*. Chicago sucks when it comes to high end denim. I am going to NYC next month, so probably I can find something there. *: Got a pair of APC NS, doesn't really like the cut, still wearable for a couple of occasions. So I keep them for now.
