yeah, the denim is really thick and buttons are a pain at first. sounds like you can do another longer soak to get the remaining shrinkage out of the way. that is odd the waist didnt come in but you got 2" out of the inseam.

take fit pics when you can. i miss wearing mine.

Used the hanger method to keep the waist from shrinking- a plastic shirt hanger fit perfectly inside the waistband.

Wore em until mostly dry and they're in for round two right now.

They didn't budge on the second soak.. odd?

Feeling much more comfortable than I was expecting. Buttoning was way less of an issue than after the 1st. Must be the starch loss after 2 soaks. I'm actually a little nervous that they aren't tighter. Might just be a faulty memory but feel like my APCs started out considerably tighter. Comfort wise they are nice just not sure if they are tight enough to get the epic fades ;-)

And 1-year old S500JX-LR with irregular wear on the weekends. I didn't wear them at all during the summer. So, not really something unusual in terms of fading.

Almost all Samurai models have arcuates. Some are non-contrast (indigo) arcs, so that's why you're not really seeing them. Also, there was a handful of jeans made with no arcs maybe a year or two ago, a result of Levi's putting up a lawsuit against several Japanese denim companies for trademark infringement on the arcuates. Fortunately, that seems to have blown over now.
