First review of the S5000VX24oz I just put them on and it was a fight. Some of my jeans shrank to a smaller size than these but there was no problem to buttom them up and stretch them. I really needed some minutes till I could button these 24oz beast up. They are now raping my hip ;-) I think it's my slimmest Samurai fit I currently own. The denim is very thick and rigid but also not as slubby&irregular as the other Samurai denim. I think it's the same with the PBJ and SG heavy denim. Both brands are also known for slubby and irregular denim but the heavier, the cleaner the denim is woven. Maybe because the looms are already under such heavy stress that irregular yarns would torture the looms too much. Hey chaps, I'll be selling my Samurai 710s if anyone wants first dibs before I post them up. Size 31, inseam is 33.5. Not worn much, slight fading on the crotch, some pics earlier in the thread. Will PM more pics to anyone interested. Fantastic jeans, just a bit too tight in the rise for my 6'2 frame I think, need a size up.

Tried on the SAT5-BKK collab today (samurai + take5), really love them Question on sizing though, I'm a true 31-32 waist, and tried the 32 but found the waist to be a touch loose Should I size down to 31? how much will it shrink?

Which collab is this? Is it the 710 one that uses the Geisha denim?

Seems to measure similar to the S710? I know not exactly, but is this lot 14 in this cut measuring slimmer than previous 5000vx's?

In this case it's not because of the Lot# but because of the 24oz denim. The models with the heavier denim from Samurai mostly/usually shrinks from tag size. At least that's what the 21oz denim and 24oz RHT denim did.
