Shaving head - scalp care

I'm having my head shaved at a charity event this week. This will be my first time taking my hair down to the scalp.

Frankly, I have no idea of how to look after my bald head during the immediate aftermath and regrowth stage. I would assume I can just continue on with regular shampoo and conditioner (and ample sunblock), but if that's wrong please correct me. Perhaps some sort of moisturizing shampoo would be useful?

My scalp seems healthy (no dandruff or anything), but any advice is welcomed.

I've had a shaved head for some time. I use a regular shampoo and the occasional moisturizer. Never had any razor bumps or dandruff or anything out of the ordinary. Sounds like you will be growing your hair back so I would just stick to whatever your current daily regimen is.

I have a shaved head and typically cut my hair 2-3 times a week to keep my head bald. One thing I always do is use bar soap first to get all the grease and dirt off my scalp then use shampoo to wash the hair. All I use is a drop of shampoo when I wash my hair.

Don't forget the sun protection, such as a hat or SPF 30+ sunscreen.

Thanks all. I'll start with the SPF 30 sunblock; hopefully I'll be able to even out the hair tanline without too much difficulty, but I certainly don't want to burn.
