Raw Denim on a Budget - Page 3

i purchased my fullcount 1108, and then i got the levi 501 stf. i've only worn the levi's maybe ten or twelve times, that's it. it's scratchy and i just don't like the color. it's a shiny royal blue, not a deep, dark blue like the fc's. for 28 bucks, i don't think it's a cheap throw-away pair. i'd say you should just start with something that you know you'd be happy with for a long time. might as well go into these with samurai, eternal, or fc or ne other best-name japanese denim if it makes you happy. focus on starting with what you perceive to be the perfect pair of jean and you'll stick with it for long enough that the number of wears you get out of them justifies the price.

count your pennies and go as high as you can...i messed around with some mid-level quality denim and was never truly satisfied til i pulled the trigger on some jap denim. one of those grass is always greener on the other side things except now i'm on the other side.

Yeah, get something good. You're just going to end up spending the money on some good jeans anyways and wish you bought them in the first place... Your fears are unfounded, you WILL like them, and what you're going to be afraid of is how much you might end up spending on the next pair.

I was just thinking the same thing. SSLA has a 25% discount which puts them at ~$115 depending on the cut. From the pics I've seen, that looks like a deal.

Hi Guys,

anything new on this matter? I am also looking for some budget raw denims. I am in Europe so some brand might not be easily available here. Research in other forums told me that Uniqulo is still the way to go for the best price (they are 40 Euros here). But maybe there is something slightly more exciting around in a similar price range?

I think that for that price, you can't do better than Uniqlo.  If you are willing to go just slightly higher ($82-88), you might want to look at Unbranded brand denim: http://theunbrandedbrand.com/

Check Fleabay for Naked & Famous denim. Can frequently be had for well under $100
