Just had the following done for a total of $ 198 Canadian: 4 odd jackets (sleeves shortened); 1 odd jacket (swapped out original buttons); 1 pair of odd trousers hemmed; 1 suit (waist suppression, working sleeve buttons, pants hemmed/cuffed).

I retrieved my jacket from Adriano yesterday, who shrugged his shoulders and said "good luck" when I said I had been quoted far less than $250. When I went to EA they said the charge for working button cuff holes would be $90, considerably higher than what they had quoted over the phone! On the other hand, $90 struck me as not unreasonable and is still almost one-third of what Adriano was going to charge me.

I paid $82 to have pleats removed, legs slimmed and hemmed on trousers and I paid $35 for waist suppression of jacket.

I paid £100 for repairs - patching and sewing - on 3 pairs of suit trousers. I've also paid about £45 on jacket waist suppression twice and I'm not sure either was worth it

Well I just dropped 2 jackets off to 2 different tailors today. Lengthen sleeves 1" on one - $20, take the back of the other in from the armpits all the way down to and including the side vents - $40. Waiting to see how they turn out.

$70 on a single jacket. Take in the waist, shorten sleeves, shorten hem. I was happy with the results.

I spent about $200 getting a thrifted suit to fit perfectly. Altered waist and hems on the trousers, shortened jacket hem and sleeves and took in the jacket waist. I was happy, because I ended up with a perfect Canali for $225.
