Registering and searching involve

two different sites. Apparently you've registered okay. Now go here:
www.live.com

In the search box enter a brand name, i.e., Sanyo. Screen will switch to a list of sites offering Sanyo, the top most of which will be eBay. If Microsoft has turned on Cashback, a gold coin icon will appear next to the listing. Click it. You're now on eBay with

Sanyo in the search box. Erase Sanyo and type in whatever you want. A small green Cashback is Active banner will appear on every eBay page and on the PayPal page when you go to pay.

It's amazing how spoiled we've become when 15% off sucks. Hoping it goes back up soon.

Can't this thing be abused with friends selling items to one another ? Apart from the money they are giving, they must be spending a ton to monitor the transactions, I don't know how this is working out for them ...

Maybe I'm wrong but didn't the fees for BIN auctions take a huge spike recently. On a high dollar BIN you are going to pay atleast 10% in seller fees so with only a 15% Live Discount it is pretty hard to game the system.

I'm sure Ebay is subsidizing some of this as well to incentivize use of BIN instead of traditional auction.

I think MSFT is funding it, but the fees are much less if you do an auction with BIN rather than a fixed-price sale.

I've wondered about that. So if you list something in an auction-style format but include a BIN option, in the end the final value fee (if someone does the BIN) will be less than if you had simply listed the item as BIN-only?
