hate to keep up all this discussion on sizing, but oh well:

i'm 6'2, 150lbs w/ a 35" chest, and i went for a medium w/o hesitation since my entire wardrobe is sized medium... but since LA Guy seems a fair bit stockier than me (at 5'11", ~165lbs), and he's the poster boy for the mediums, does this mean that i shoudl be going for a small instead (or even XS)?? and does this mean my entire wardrobe may be oversized??

in any case, really excited about this shirt!

If the rest of your stuff is medium then that's what you should go for here. At 6'2" I doubt the measurements for a S or XS would work for you at all, regardless of how skinny you may be.

Also, if worst comes to worst then having a size slightly larger would allow you to layer more underneath it and wear it more like a shirt jacket than just a shirt. If you make the mistake in the opposite direction then there'd be little way to get around it.

My entire wardrobe (aside from Japanese stuff and fat American sized stuff like sweaters) is sized medium and I went for a large on this, because the shoulder measurements are really small. For the record, I have about a 39-40" chest but shoulders like a 42R (18") and I size 38-40 in most stuff, but this shirt is sized quite small at the shoulders. Check the measurements on Context. I'll post bad quality fit pix when I get mine.

yea i looked at the measurements the shoulders look pretty tight but the chest seems to have a lot of room. i wish the pit to pit for the XS was slightly smaller. the pit to pit is basically sized as size smalls in most brands i'd buy.

its making me have second thoughts because of that.

I am a true 38". and the medium fits me. I am fairly narrow, and the shoulders reflect that (j is not that much bigger than I am, but has wider shoulders. In most things, he would be about a half size larger than I am, I think.) However, the chest measurement fits me perfectly. The measurements can be deceiving because the material is considerably heavier then most shirts, and the armholes are high and tight, so the whole thing feels more fitted than the measurements would suggest, for lighter weight shirts. Please keep this in mind. If you are a 38" chest and get a small, it will really be tight on you, rather than slim.

Thanks for the details. I am usually a 36 chest in most brands, and I went with the small on this.

Yes, you will have exactly 1" clearance to inhale at the chest

For anyone looking at the sizing chart: With the exception of t-shirts and other stretchy tops, you should always have at least 2-3" clearance at the chest in any shirt if you want to be able to breathe without looking like an idiot. And more like 4-5" if you want a slightly relaxed look where your pecs won't show.

its still tough for me to put down that much money with no real fit pictures though. don't need more decorations just hanging in the closet lol.

i'm looking at it i like the details, length, and color for sure

. its hard to find a decent semi dress long sleeve that isn't super long on short people. i'm not formal enough to tuck my shirts all the time unless i'm at work.

reference my regular size is extra small in all brands i wear unless i'm going for a truly relaxed look then i go for a small. even extra smalls in certain brands don't look fitted on me.

i've got a couple of apc pieces the extra smalls look like mall brand small.

^I don't mean to hi-jack this, but you don't need to be/feel formal to tuck your shirts dude. Just try it; if your clothes fit well, you should be comfortable, and IMO it looks better 3/4 of the time.

I agree though, it is expensive but so is anything else of this quality and design...I might do it, just because its such a ******* cool idea and I think this kind of thing should and will become a staple in every man's closet...

Not really sure what you want here. There are 3 pics of a model wearing the shirt, plus detailed shots, already. Is there something you want in particular? I know that Ryan is planning to take some shots...

I think he's probably looking for full-view fit pics from more straightforward angles and postures. It's hard to see what's going on with the fit in the model photos. The details of the shirt are easily seen, though, and look excellent.

The detail picture showing the front of the shirt probably shows the fit best. No wierd poses there

Fok.
