Yeah, someone might be trying to tell you something. Now if only they'd cough up an 11.

I really want mccallums. I've developed a plan: I think I'm going to have Ron Rider make me a pair.

Enjoy! I hope they work out for you. If the fit is a bit tight, let me know.

Given that the factory store is the probably the only place in the entire world for where you can buy Vales (even seconds) for £250, I think it's fair. Since you're in Toronto too, do you know of a place in Canada (aside from L'Uomo in MTL) that sells JL shoes?

Is there a cut along the edge of the cap on the left shoe?

Yeah, I started a thread w/ link to Ron's new boot company blog on the Men's Clothing board not long ago for just that reason. I think I'm going the same way. I'd be into the RL boots for a little over $500 at either the sale price or GVH price, so for a little more $ I can get some from Ron with a wider variety of shell colors available and a bit more refined sole.

anyone in here bidding on these?

http://cgi.ebay.com/RALPH-LAUREN-PUR...713.m153.l1262

I was tempted to pull the trigger at the $499 BIN, but lost my chance now.

Brutal how that price has escalated on these. There are two other 11.5 Purple Label EG shoes on the GVH ebay auctions right now - a monk and a loafer - going for slightly less $.

unless it's suede, you really should pull the BIN trigger on EGs when they're below $500.

suede shoes doesn't sell as well, though.

This could be a sweet bargain. Seller has shoes misspelled as "New & Linwood." A quick search reveals that they are made by Crockett & Jones, Alfred Sargent or Grenson. Both are size 8.5D. Shoes from the Poulsen Skone line currently retail for over £400. Black Captoe Oxfords Suede Captoe Oxfords Seller also has some nice Paul Stuart caps.
