Cool Shoes, Paraphernalia & Desiderata - Page 643

This is astounding. A pair of old Nettleton monks have been floating around eBay for months. Seller initially wanted a premium for them, and they didn't move. He kept listing them and listing them, finally offering them at least a couple of times at $50, but with no takers. After disappearing for a while, they turned up again last week, now at $25. They just closed ... at $127.50. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWA:IT&ih=024 That's eBay for you!

I wear vintage orthopedic shoes of superior quality?

Were LabelKing to wear orthopedic shoes, I would imagine they would be of exotic skins.

And while it may be difficult to find orthopedic shoes in alligator, elephant, or phoque, if anyone could find them it would be LK.

The prize for the most misbegotten shoe goes to:
John Lobb "˜Vega'

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/JOHN-LOBB-Rare...dZp1638Q2em122

Never put a Chukka boot too close to a Loafer. They could breed.

There have been some really unfortunate Lobbs littering eBay the last couple of months.

Based on the number. 97891 is the longwing in whiskey shell

I think the offspring of a low-vamp loafer and monkstrap (aptly named the 'Dick') should get the prize.

Glenroyal bridle leather goods from Scotland (internet seller):

https://www.expertleather.co.uk/osc/...hp/cPath/23_31

Link to RJman briefcase:

These are half the ever-escalating cost of Swaine Adeney, but don't have personal experience with them.
