That seriously rocks. Sadly, if I had it, I'd lose it, or drop it and dent it horribly.

Okay, not sure if any of this has been listed before:

Teh Germans are selling an EG shoe care kit as well as EG luggage in canvas and leather (20 years ago, they made and sold luggage):

The above McAfees arrived today and as the seller said, they weren't as bad as they appeared in the pictures. They still needed some treatment and some leather spot remover and a LOT of elbow grease have brought them to this condition.

Not great. But better than what they looked like in the eBay listing above or what you can see of another spot on the back of the shoe which I have yet to treat.

If I were keeping for myself I think I'd could live with these and let some age and polishing make any further improvements, but there is a problem. They don't fit, so I'm going to want to flip them. They are a beautiful, very elegant shoe and properly finished might bring a nice price. I think my best bet is to have them professionally stripped and dyed black, but I have no idea what the cost of that process would be and whether I'd recoup the investment. Would some of you mind offering an opinion on what this shoe might be worth in black. Below is a picture from inside of the shoe and a shot of the nail pattern on the heel. I can make out that it is an 11.5 C but the rest is all but illegible to me. Guesses on the maker and the last? Thanks for any help.

Can't hurt to see how much it would cost, I guess, but I'd be skeptical that you'd get your investment back out of them. You're already in at $105, and refinishing is only going to add to the cost. They look much better already -- what about relisting them as "new," which they are, and seeing how they do?
