Actually, I doubt the boots would show up even when the "search description" parameter is used. Here's why:

I don't know how RJMan did it. Power of the cat posse, perhaps?

Okay, that's my last post on this topic, I promise.

Either Grenson Masterpiece or EG. My money's on EG because of the sole blacking.

Oh, and I received these. Thanks to RJMan again. Arrived too late for my black tie do but they're nice, no cracking, a few scuffs that polished out. They look EG-esque though the nail pattern on the heel is in twos rather than threes.

No prob. Anything written inside the shoe? That might give a clue as to EG or Grenson...

There is one of those EG-esque 'patches' on the inside, inner aspect, but nothing is written in them. There is 'Savoy F9' handwritten on the tongue.

So far as I know, they're all Grenson. E&R shoes retail at 250UKP, so EG seems unlikely. The patch inside is normal, as are closed-channel soles.

EG used to make shoes for Ede & Ravenscroft. (A few models are still EG and are sold at a higher price.) The script on the sole is that used on both EGs and Grenson Masterpieces, but I'd never seen Grenson Masterpieces with the sole blacking, which is often used on EG.

Not here. I recently sold 2 pairs of brand-spanking new Florsheim specs with the same soles and same interior and I thought maybe early 80's based on condition of the leather but would love to hear someone who may have insight.
