No, they're too casual. I wouldn't even wear them with a casual suit like a heavy tweed. I wouldn't wear chukka boots with a suit, but they're also suede, making them a definite no-go.

They are made for the US market and marked with a US size. Some say (Brian for instance) that they run a little larger than marked, but not a full size.

+1 on the good deal. I have a pair of these I purchased from Brian, and Mr. Harris is correct, these are top of the line FAM's. They will run about a half size larger. If I didn't already have a pair of these I would be all over them.

Would someone please advice me who made Hermes Shoes ( I think some were by Lobb). I just won this pair ( another impulsive purchase when I couldn't sleep at night) and was curious. Like to know what you all think of it too. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Santoni 9.5Ds: - Santoni Brenden - Santoni Garson

nice tramezzas, 10.5, starting bid 99 cents: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=150216352895 although IMO, the cap toe makes the shoe look too busy. Still, if someone could buy these here for $200, it would be a nice deal. seller has some other nice looking shoes...

Nothing remains a "great bargain" after it has been posted here.

Someone more knowledgeable should comment, but my sense is that $500 would be a great bargain for these shoes and they will sell for quite a bit less than that.

This is actually more of a lamentation than an observation.
