Dang, for $7500 I'd expect them to at least clean the shoes up a bit!!

Those look to be Lobb IMO. The dye job on the sole, the look of the sole stitching on top of the welt, the style and placement of the writing inside the shoe, the way the Hermes logo is stamped, and the styling of the box are all consistent.

Are these Aldens a good deal? I am looking at the 9.5D ... seems like a good price to me for a pair of well made shoes, maybe not stylish. http://search.stores.ebay.com/ON-YOU...729196QQsofpZ0 oops ... not watching anymore ... 9.5D is gone ....

Hello,

I clicked on your link and bought the 9.5D. Did not realize that it was your size till I saw your listing again. If the seller does not have another pair, lets work something out. I do not feel good about this.

Anyways, those are one of the orthopedic shoes that Alden makes. Nothing special, but also not bad at $40. I wouldn't loose sleep over them.

BTW these run BIG! They are either on the Barrie or the trulast(sp) and in the past I have made the mistake of purchasing them marked in my normal size. Then I hunted for thicker (socks) hiking etc and relegated them to winter wear.
