Check out this seller's offerings--kicks from Lattanzi, Vass, Lobb, Bemer, Testoni, Branchini, and Sutor Mantellassi:

http://clothing.search.ebay.com/_Men...QQsassZmdibble

Notes:

Vass Norwegers on Budapest last: True 8 US, I believe; very slight wear--maybe what you'd have after 5 or 6 wearings; double-soles; go straight to BIN of $379 and be sure to add the extra $35 for the Vass lasted trees. Great deal.

Lattanzi brogue oxfords: Jeez, Lattanzi, for heaven's sake. Worn, but not really that much wear; gorgeous shoes; currently at $375, but will go much higher I think. Again US 8.

Lobb plain-toe bluchers: Says size 8.5 US, since 8 UK. However, my experience with Lobb would suggest that they could be closer to 9 US--probably more like 8.75 US. Not much wear.

Bemer for RTW Valextra line: Almost no wear at all. Very stylish Italian-genre cap-toes on sleek last. Undoubtedly very fine shoes. Euro size 41 should translate to about 8 US, but check this out carefully.

Branchini ornate full-brogue derbies with Norvogese construction: again, light wear; not my style, but obviously very high-quality shoes. Marked Size 7F, which sellers translates to 7 US wide. Buyer would need to check very carefully re fit. Could ask for interior length as a start (not definitive, but a starting point).

a. Testoni monk shoes: From Black Label line so about $750-$850 retail. Very light wear; almost new. If I were interested, I'd probably go straight to the BIN of $199. Italianate style on a very nice last, and of high quality construction, with very attractive antiqued finish. Seller says Testoni 8 would equate to about 8.5 US, but check this out further.

Sutor Mantellassi suede full-brogue oxfords: From higher SM line. I have very similar shoe in a suede derby and they (and these, I believe) retail for something on the order of $875-$900. Hard to gauge the wear with the rubber soles, but I suspect very little. Pictures don't do justice to the dark brown suede, which on that level of SM is very rich and luxurious. Since made for a US store, the size appearing in the shoe is undoubtedly correct--8.5 US in this case.

Alden - two pairs: If you like Alden and black shell cordovan, these could be a reasonably good deal. Again very light wear.

This is a quality seller from all that I've seen now and in the past.

Slow day at work today, Roger?

Those Lattanzi shoes are made of Peccary- now that's rare

Not my cup of tea but perhaps some of you may find these intriguing:

^^You mean people actually have to work today? BTW, re the Berlutis, I'd be careful about size and be sure to get more information. Seller says 8.5 US, but shoes have 8.5 stamped on them, and on Euro shoes like Berlutis (unless made expressly for the US market) this usually means a larger US size. I don't know the Berluti/US conversion, but someone here undoubtedly does.
