I messaged the seller and shipping to the US is quoted at 1 pound per jar on a five jar minimum order which would bring it to about $7 a jar. Does anyone know if this compares favorably to what it can be had for here in the States?

Sorry, I misread the post...how does one measure the inside of a shoe accurately

Well...I get Meltonian for around $2. I don't think it would be worth it for a cream but perhaps a good wax.

I just found that Franco's carries it at about the same price. So no need to send all the way to England for it, if I want it.

I usually wear a 11D in AE and these are actually a 12. Do I have a shot at fitting these? Look nice to wear with some jeans.

I think you should pass.

I thought so too. I was hoping someone would convince me otherwise.

also, you are going to be bidding against a fellow forum member...never a fun proposition to cost a fellow SFer money (or have him cost you money) . Having said that, later tonight there's going to be an entertaining bidfest wth all the usual SF suspects...I may stay up late just to watch the fun.

Are you thinking 20:34:08 PST by any chance?
should we guess how much money SFer will cost each other?
if the shoes are not as described, you'll see them posted here

I agree...I think we should do away with this thread.
I think Boogers does a good job by placing a bid early to "stake his claim"
If we do that and the intial SF bidder is outbid by an unknown person...then it's a free for all.

Part of the problem is that many of us don't know the others identities on eBay. I checked with two likely suspects today before placing my bid, but I won't be costing anyone any money later. I'm out of this hunt. Also, I've passed on posting a number of items to this thread because I'm afraid I'm blowing someone's "great find".

Are you referring to the shoes you've already bid on?
