Almost new AE Leeds in shell for $195 BIN. The shell stamp on the sole is still visible.

Priced pretty high, but I was shocked to see shell cordovan Stacy Adams. I guess they gave up on the material when they couldn't order it in purple lizard print.

Stacy Adams used to be a completely legit shoemaker, like Nettleton or Hanover. I guess it's clear what it takes a company from that era to survive, because Nettleton and Hanover aren't even around to make crappy shoes anymore.

At one time, 1950s, early 1960s, Nettleton was probably an equal of Florsheim, AE, and perhaps Alden. I don't think Hanover or certainly Stacy Adams were ever in that class.
