no idea of why they stuck it there, but that's why a lot of the BB ebay sellers are from NC.

edit: as for the seller himself - i would be carefull of his ties and shirts, but would go ahead with the shoes.

Garland, NC is where BB oxford shirts were (and maybe still are) made - the Garland Shirt Company. The BB clearance center is a true clearance ctr - stock changes on a regular basis, covers all their lines (golden fleece, 347, 1818, etc) and is totally unpredictable. This dude has an in with the folks there, hence his great selection. There's an askandy thread about the clearance center and these ebay sellers.

Also, there used to be one in Secaucus, NJ. My father has worn BB exclusively for the past 20 years thanks that that center and the outlet near my folks' house.

Those Vass make me do some quick fantasy-math. Like, "okay I just sold 3 x $150 shoes so I could have one $450 shoe, now if I sold these $450 shoes plus 4 more $100 shoes... "

Thanks... and I just heard back from the guy, who writes, "I am a retired Law Enforcemen [sic] Officer selling cloths [sic] that are purchased at the Brooks Brothers Clerance [sic] Canter [sic]."

yes, 44 in vass is a true 10.5D size.

43.5 is a 10D.

Just received this exact shoe in the mail from the US Vass rep. My first Vass purchase and it is a beautiful shoe. I'm very happy with it.

I already had an offer in and am waiting impatiently and you guys are already all over it....

EG Malvern on the 202 last made in the 80's is my strong suspicion. Of the EG part I am certain. I recently sold a similar pair and emailed EG about the origin and they responded quite quickly with the information.
