The prices are amazingly high for what he's selling, but he runs them over and over.
It's just an Ebay seller strategy. It reminds me of the seller baronofpalmbeach. Many will remember him. His start prices are very high but he is willing to keep relisting.
For all I know, this strategy might yield better results for a seller than a fair or low starting price. A Harris or vman might have an opinion on that.
Good lord, look at those prices!!! I have these very shoes in this exact condition (brand spanking new) going up for sale soon....I will offer them at an apparently discounted price to SF members: $550 with free shipping!! I also have a brand new shell pair, maybe those can go for $800!!
The Cleverley are not rejected bespoke, they were samples/prototypes for a proposed Leonard Logsdail RTW collection themed on the Duke of Windsor. I think the price is reasonable and would have asked at least that much myself. I do not expect the shoes to last long. Sartoriale does not sell things cheap, but still turns his merchandise over extremely quickly. By lowering his prices he would just be throwing away money, not a good strategy for anyone.
