yeah. sometimes it gives weird results. try typing in "alden", and it gives you a ton of allen edmonds shoes. It seems fatfingers agrees with me - AE is just as good as Alden

I use gixen because it's free, dependable and I really don't bid on that many items. I think the free gixen service(which I use), enters the bid with 10 seconds left. Gixen has a premium service (paid for, but not much), that enters your bid with 4 seconds left.

So, interestingly enough, if 2 bidders were to enter the same amount (one with free service, and the other with paid for service), the free service gixen bidder would win. I.E. if I bid $200 for a pair of shoes and someone else (with paid gixen service), made the same bid, my bid would fire with 10 seconds left and his with 4 seconds left. Since I was the first to bid $200, I would win.

No, sniping software queues the snipe in the order in which it was received by the system. So if you both entered the same bid, the first to have entered the snipe into the software gets it.

I understand what you are saying, but how would that work?

gixen free service (which I use), enters the bid with 10 seconds remaining.

gixen premium servive enters the bid with about 4 seconds remaining.

Are you saying that in the scenario of both of us setting up identical bids (let's say $200), that my bid wouldn't be entered with 10 seconds remaining if the other guy set his snipe up first, even though his bid wouldn't be entered till 4 seconds remained??

The interesting interpretation of 'Ralph' might make them go low. No association with the seller, of course...

I have that same shoe. I got them when the Polo outlets first started up in the midwest . Very nice shoes and easy to keep clean.

I don't know about that particular software but from the others I know, yes, your snipe gets put in a queue so if the premium enters it first, in theory, yours is queued behind it and therefore not entered. You have to remember that the odds of this ever happening are infinitesimal.

fairly standard Elite listing, except this is a CJ Jodhpur boot on a discontinued last. Right now CJ's only jodhpur is priced ridiculously high, above handgrade pricing.

I'm thinking they would be too narrow for you as Tramezzas tend to run narrow as it is!

That's what I mean. The cottesmore is ridiculously expensive. From the pics, Quorn looks identical to the Cottesmore except on the last (and I like the Quorn last better).

I have the Ralph Lauren version, I would say it's benchgrade level.

God, I wish my feet were a little shorter and a lot narrower. I can't believe these are still under three figures with less than an hour to go. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWA:IT&ih=008

This is too pimping for me, but actually a very low price for what look like new SAB goods in an exotic leather:

Who talks like this about the quality of the shoes from their "personal collection" and then uses bananas for shoe trees?
