New $380 PEAL & CO Brooks Black Velvet LOAFERS 11.5 D

http://cgi.ebay.com/New-380-PEAL-CO-...QQcmdZViewItem

The description claims they are "made in Northampton England by either Alfred Sargent [or] by Crockett & Jones."

However, I believe they are made by Bowhill & Elliott. Not a bad deal if they stay in the two-figure range and if you can get past the BB monogram (not Bumble & Bumble!)

Interesting ad copy: "Fitting for everyday wear or espionage on the Orient Express. You could truly wear these to the Louvre, turn around and climb the Great Pyramid of Giza, and then beat the Devil in a footrace!"

Henry Boogers. Those Tramezzas you're winning...do you know a good place to get them resoled? I have a pair that will probably need the same treatment.

I learn something new every day...and I was concerned because there were only 9 minutes left in the day and I hadn't learned anything yet. Thanks!
