The consensus is that all
Cleverley RTW shoes are made by C&J to roughly Handgrade standards. Cleverley has never confirmed this, but knowledgeable shoe folks believe this to be the case. Given that Cleverley RTW shoes go for 300 GBP, as opposed to a lower figure for C&J Handgrades (considerably lower if you shop at PLal), it's not surprising that Cleverley would not announce this fact.
C&J make shoes for many other retailers, and we shouldn't expect these other-branded shoes to be identical to those branded by C&J. Cleverley have likely designed the shoes they have C&J make and may have set certain standards of construction that are different from (likely higher than) C&J's own. Given this fact, some would undoubtedly feel that, even though made by C&J, the Cleverley RTWs are superior--and very desirable--shoes. You can check them out here
All of this has nothing to do with Cleverley's bespoke program--considered by most to produce among the nicest British shoes in existence.
